MODORA combines module and orangery into a new space for culture. The concept was developed on the basis of a prior analysis phase. Through a questionnaire completed by cultural creators, it became clear that the building material wood in particular is desired and that the design should blend into the surroundings.
In its form, the concept makes reference to the neighboring orangery. At the center of the design is the stage as the only fixed component. With the help of a simple sliding system, it can be opened or closed depending on the occasion. All other elements are designed as a modular system: The modules can be lined up as desired, extended in length, and also expanded in width through an additional supplementary element.
Three different wall and roof modules, which can be flexibly exchanged, also enable various spatial configurations and appearances. In this way, a suitable arrangement can be created for different event formats, while the system at the same time remains usable in everyday park life.
