Dajana Saric and Jannik Sillinger – Scenario D

Soundgarden develops Schlosspark as a year-round place for culture and social interaction. The proposal builds on the long-term development concept by landscape architecture practice land.schafft, adopting the future park layout and planned tree planting as its spatial foundation. It focuses on the Kulturzone beside the Orangerie, the two large meadows and the pond area.
The concept distinguishes between everyday use and festival operations. On ordinary days, the historic Orangerie forms the park's cultural centre: the ground floor accommodates gastronomy, while the lower level provides space for workshops, events and educational activities. A stage in front of the building, market stalls, seating areas by the pond and a covered meeting place that does not require consumption complete the programme.
For larger events, the park becomes a connected festival landscape accommodating up to 3,000 visitors. The stage in front of the Orangerie serves as the main stage, while the market area provides space for food, drinks and other temporary uses. A small stage by the pond and additional programme areas complement the concept. The design also responds to the results of public participation and creates places to spend time that remain useful beyond events.
