Exhibition Invitation

We warmly invite you to join us on 26 June 2026 for the opening of the 45th Steyrer Stadtfest, the Grünland Festival 2026, and the final exhibition of our Summer Semester 2026 design studio. Architecture students from TU Wien will present their visions and design proposals for the future cultural use of the Kulturzone in Schlosspark Steyr.

Design studios are a central part of architectural education, providing students with the opportunity to explore the design of buildings and public spaces through concrete real-world tasks. While the projects are developed in response to actual sites and challenges, the resulting proposals should be understood as visions and contributions to ongoing discussions.

This semester, the students focused on the “Kulturzone / Barocke Nordzone” designated in the Masterplan Schlosspark 2045. Since March 2026, they have conducted research and site analyses, investigated existing uses, and explored future needs and opportunities. Based on these findings, teams of two to three students developed different future scenarios and spatial concepts for small-scale architectural structures and a variety of cultural uses within the Kulturzone.

Through this exhibition, we would like to share the results and invite visitors to join a conversation about the potentials and future development of Schlosspark Steyr. We look forward to welcoming you and engaging in inspiring discussions on site.
